2025 Classic American Road Show (CARS)
Initially a series of varying roads linking cities and towns, Route 66 was established in 1926 to give travelers an unbroken, albeit meandering path, from Chicago to Los Angeles. The Route was fully paved by 1938. It was decommissioned in 1985, after the US Interstate Highway System made traveling across the country, faster and easier. Most of the towns and businesses which thrived from commerce brought by travelers on Route 66 were bypassed. This devastated business along the Route, resulting in abandoned buildings, rundown properties and ghost towns.
While some segments of Route have all but disappeared, approximately 85% of the Route is still drivable. There are stretches of the four-lane Interstate that parallel the Route, as seen in the photo at the top of this page. In some places the Interstate and Route 66 are one and the same; in some areas, the Interstate and Route 66 are miles apart. We will travel both, the Interstate and selected segments of Route 66, supporting towns and businesses that remain, those that have reopened and those that are relatively new on this, the Main Street of America.

Car Rallies
By design, this is a roadshow, tour and car rally. Imagine a parade of vintage, antique and classic vehicles traveling on the most nostalgic road in the US, with a party at each destination town. We will guide you on a predetermined and efficient route through select towns, with stops at specific locations, giving you an overall sense of what America used to be, what it is today and what is possible for its future. Each evening there will be an Americana Exhibition which will include music, dancing and a show, displaying art, crafts, commerce and classic cars from local communities alongside the vehicles in our tour.
Music and Dance Concerts
Most evenings there will be a dance concert featuring The House Band, the official band of the Classic Americana Road Show, highlighting local musicians of each town where tour participants will rest for the night.
Dining
Evening meals will vary. Sometimes there will be a local BBQ, sometimes there will be a line of food trucks and sometimes you will dine at local restaurants.
Discounts
Tour participants will receive discounts at hotels, restaurants, group meals, shows, attractions, fuel, parking, services and merchandise. Additionally, participants will be able to make use of the coupons they will receive in their participant's packet. Movie nights will be free to all tour participants.
Participants' Sales
Participants may offer their vehicles for sale during any and all parts of the roadshow. Select participants will be allowed to sell their arts, crafts and/or merchandise throughout the duration of the tour.
Contests and Awards
Awards will be given for best vehicles in various categories on the tour. There will be contests during the dance concerts for dancing and costumes. Certificates will be awarded for any vehicle and/or participant that completes the entire length of the tour.
